Ashlee got to drive with a mentor musher 3 miles on a sled pulled by a team of dogs. She wrote an essay and did community service hours and was chosen as 1 of 2 junior mushers from Bridger Valley. The IPSSSDR ( http://www.wyomingstagestop.org/ ) was held this last week starting in Jackson, WY and ending in Park City, Utah today. You can click on the link and read more about it and Ashlees experience. She was paired with Melanie Shirilla, who also won the whole race. It was an amazing day and her musher mentor was an amazing person. Her mentor has won the IPSSDR multiple times and her husband has won the IDITAROD sled dog race as well.
