Counting my Blessings----Close Call

So yesterday was a CRAZY, BUSY day in the shop. A day I can now say I am grateful it was so busy. I told the kids that since Eric and Preston were gone to All-Stars we would go out to dinner last night. Well things got way too busy and at 7pm I was still out working in the shop. So Ashlee made dinner so I could keep working. At about 9:30ish I smelled something horrible. I looked around and saw smoke billowing out of the outlet that adjusts the fan, and then the fans stopped working. I yelled for the kids and we ran out of the house and called 911. Not knowing if things had burst in flames or not we waited for the fire deptartment to come. Thankfully they got there and got the power shut off before anything burst into flames. The firefighter told me the outlet was arching?? Apparently not a good thing. So power got shut off and our good friend dismantled the outlet from the wall, once it cooled down, so I didn't worry about it catching fire while we were sleeping. Had I closed up the shop and headed in the house any eairler I wouldn't of smelled or saw the smoke as soon as I did. And who know what the outcome would of been. So this morning I am counting my blessings that the Lord was watching over us and keeping us safe. Everything happens for a reason. Glad it was a long day in the shop. :)

What a scare that must have been! I am so glad everything turned out okay and no major harm was done. It's times like these that we really do count our blessings. So happy you are all safe!
