Fun times with Family!

Last week we were at BYU for a baseball camp for Preston. After it finished on Saturday night I took the kids to Temple Square to see the lights. I had not realized that we havenot been there since before Brock was born. It was perfect weather and we had a great time despite driving around 45 minutes looking for parking. We saw the lights, nativity, Christus statue, and looked at the lights from the 10th floor of the JS Building. It was awsome!

These are from Thanksgiving. We went to Colorado to Mark and Jennifers cabin. It was Prestons birthday on thanksgiving this year and all he wanted to do was go skiing. So Eric and Uncle Mark took them skiing while ,Bryson, Brock, Aunt Jennifer and I went tubing. (sorry no pics of that Eric had the camera)

Kids say the funniest things

I just have to share this. We are in the van driving home from a ball game. Our neighbors had just given us a zucchini and I say:
mom: I just love zucchini
Bryson: I love bikinis
mom: no, I said I love zucchini
Bryson:I love bikinis
mom: no Bryson zzzzzzuchini
Bryson: I don't like those

We all got a good laugh out of that one!

We are still here!

I am going to try and be better at keeping this blog updated. So here is a run down of our summer fun so far.
Ashlee has a fun, busy summer. She just returned from a week at girls camp and had a blast!! In 2 days she gets braces (and told me she is excited), gets to go to a basketball camp at BYU, is looking forward to spending some time in Montana with my sisters family, when she is home she has been busy babysitting and working the concession stand at the ball parks. She turns 13 next month and is growing into a beautiful young women.
Preston has started playing the saxaphone in summer band, been playing baseball, and is excited to have his cousin come visit for some time this summer. He has been chosen to be on the All-Star baseball team and has been practing hard for that. So baseball has been his life since the end of May until the end of July. He is loving it! Bryson tries to wear Preston catchers gear during games and get so upset when he has to give it back to Preston.
Brockhas had a summer of firsts. He just learned how to ride a bike! He is so excited! He has been playing baseball as well and has had is older brother giving him pointers. He just turned 8 and is looking forward to getting baptized with his cousin. He has started scouts and is so excited about it all!
Bryson is doing so great! His health is super and he makes the most of every moment. He LOVES watching his brothers play baseball! He is their #1 supporter, cheering for them at the games, encouraging them when they have a rough inning, and sneaking his brothers catchers gear when he isn't wearing it! He is so fun!
Eric coached Prestons baseball team to a 1st place finish at the end for the season! He will help with the All-Stars team as well. Then when the boys finish baseball Eric and I play on a co-ed softball team! So we pretty much live at the ball fields during the summer and love it!
We are building a new shop on main street and that has been exciting as we have more than outgrown our converted garage! We feel so blessed that buisness is going so well.
So I promise the next time I post I will have pictures. Thanks for checking in on us!

Amazing Kids!

This Saturday and Sunday on channel 5 is Primary Childrens Miracle Network Telethon. (whew that was a mouthful). At 8pm they will be talking to some pretty amazing kids!
They will be talking to Bryson about being a paitent at the hospital and talking to Ashlee and Preston about the money they raised with their friends this year for the hospital.
The kids have been working really hard since last September to raise the money. They have done many craft fairs and did a dodgeball tournament.
I must say I am a little proud.:)

Watch for them on Saturday!

It Came!!!!

WOO HOO!! So after getting back from Brysons Make-A-Wish trip, I was trying to figure out the best way to scrapbook those 300 pictures. Well I found the answer...BLURB!! I made a hard bound 88 page custom book of our trip and it came in the mail today!!! YEA!!! It turned out awsome, was easy to do and came quick! Thanks to my sister in law Amy for the idea of doing it!!
Here are some pictures of our forever busy kids!!
Here is Ashlee in one of her games. She is 55. She played awsome and it was so fun traveling around and watching her games. Now she is doing track. She loves hurdles, their first track meet has already been cancelled because of snow on the track. (imagine that) But as soon as the snow melts, watch out hurdles here comes Ashlee!!

This is Preston making a shot in his Jr. Jazz games. He also had fun. Their season is over and he is playing with a team that has and will compete in a few weekend tournaments. But for now he is looking forward to baseball!!!!! Bring it on spring!!What is this you may ask?? DODGEBALL!! The kids held a dodgeball tournament last night to raise money for Primary Childrens Hospital and a local family whose Dad is very ill. It was a huge success and our community is awsome!! They had over 20 teams and people have already asked when they are going to do another one! So I must say I am proud of them!! When I called Primary Childrens Hospital to tell them about the kids fundraising they were doing and asked where to send the raised money to I was extactic at their response. I told them how the kids have raised money every year since 2005 for different causes and how their little brother has spent so much time at PCMC that the kids wanted to raise money for the hospital this year. She was so touched by the kids efforts and story that she asked if they would come to their Children Miracle Network Telethon and present what they raise, live on t.v.!!!! I could harldly believe it! Of course the kids are excited, so they have been super busy raising money ever since November.

Well their is our past few months in a nut shell. Brock and Bryson are doing well also. Brock is looking forward to baseball this year also and Bryson is wishing he was old enough for t-ball. Instead he is loving 'refing' basketball and looking forward to 'playing' baseball.

Asking for prayers please.

Calling on all our friends and family for your prayers. Erics sister Sara had her 5th child early this morning. She has been taken to Cincinati Childrens Hospital where they have discovered some congential heart defects. Having gone through all of this with Bryson, we know the importance of prayer and support....we dont know the extent of the defects yet, but hope to know more tomorrow. In the meantime all prayers for them are appriciated. Thanks in advance. We will post more as we learn more.
