Brysons bag of Tricks

So things are still going well, and I am sure we will still go home today, but let me tell you about last night. So in the cath lab they went through his neck, and both legs. Brysons right leg where they went through his femeral artery took a while to stop bleeding, but once it did they sent us to recovery. Once we got on the floor he tried to roll over and again his leg began to bleed. Not just drip blood but spew blood because it was his artery again. So he kept the nurses hoppin'. They kept pressure on it until cardiology could come and change the pressure dressing. It finally stopped bleeding and they decided to give him atavan and loratab to help him keep still. It worked for a little bit until he started coughing and the one in his neck bagan to bleed. Fortunatly it just needed extra pressure and a new band aid. Then among all this his skin from his neck to his chest began turning red. No one could say why, they just gave him benadryl and it went away. So once he finally got settled he slept well from midnight-6am. When we got here this morning he was still groggy because they are keeping on top of the loratab, but seemed ok. Well the nurse came in and did vital signs and he sat as still as could be, until she left and then he started coughing.(becasue of having the breating tube down his throat it makes him very hoarse and then laying on his back since yeasterday at 6am he hasn't been able to cough out the crap) needless to say he threw up everywhere. Now he hasn't had anything to eat since Sunday night and he had only drank a little juice after his procedure. Anyway once we cleaned that up he wanted to eat, so we got him some manderian oranges and pancakes. Well that didn't last long. He started coughing and it all came back up, it got all over the halter monitor he was wearing so we are waiting to hear if they will put another one on. We are also waiting for him to eat and keep it down. So like I said at the begining of the post, I am sure we will still go home today, just a little later than sooner.
