Well the annual Pinewood Derby has come and gone. It was a lot of fun this year because we were able to go. Last year at this time, Bryson was recovering in the hospital from his second heart surgery. Grandpa B, helped Preston with his car last year while we were down at Primary's and this year Preston was sure to tell me that we needed to do it like Grandpa B showed him how. Well the Grandpa B magic worked again and this year Preston finished first in his Pack, which means he gets to race again at the District Derby in two weeks. I asked him if it was then onto a statwide derby, then nationals, and finally if there was a worldwide derby championship. Preston was pretty excited about his derby night and he shoud have been. His sleek design and hard work paid off. His car even survived Dad drilling all the way through the body in an attempt to add weight in just the right places.
