Monday AM - On The Floor

Well last night Bryson got moved from the PICU to the floor. For those of you that have experience with all of this know that the move is good and bad. Good in the sense that they feel you child is doing well enough to move to the regular floor and it is one step closer to going home. On the other hand, it means leaving the PICU where the one nurse in the room at all times provides a little more comfort when leaving the hospital or going to get something to eat, etc..

Bryson still has all 3 chest tubes in and they are still draining quite a bit of fluid. He was off oxygen all together yesterday but is back on a little as some of the pain medication is having a little bit of an effect on his saturation. They put him on IV fluids last night as he was not drinking very much and was getting a little dehydrated. They are going to try and get him to drink some more juice today and see how he handles that. They are going to switch from morphine to loratab to control his pain and hopefully that transition will be smooth. All in all he seems to be doing very well and we are thankful for his progress.

Note: A special HUGE thanks to Brynn Homer who brought dinner to us last night, we can't say thank you enough for that wonderful act o service. We also can't say thank you enough to our friends who are watching our kids back in Wyoming and all those who are doing so much for us.
