Well we ended up staying in a comfy bed at the guest house (Thanks Mom and Dad) last night. We got at the hospital at 8am to find a pretty ticked off little boy. He is on morphine every 2 hours for pain, but last night they pulled out the adavan (sp?). He got so upset and mad that not only did they give him adavan, but they also had to put him on a high flow canula because his oxygen levels were dropping so low. It is just a TON more air and like it says 'high flow'. So they are trying to ween that down today. They also had to give him steroids last night because his breathing got so noisy they had to help keep his airway open. So things are o.k. He doesn't rest more than a few minutes at a time and gets more mad when he can see or hear mom and dad. So we either spend our time sitting in the back of his room out of sight, or out in the waiting room.
We had a fun visit yesterday with Gator, Brysons heart buddy, and his mom (Brynn) and sister and friend. It is always so nice to see friends and family.
Once again we appriciate all your thoughts and prayers for Bryson and our family. Prayers are being answered. We are so grateful for the special angels watching over him. (Papa Bud, Grammy Marcia and heart buddy Dillon, we love you guys)
So no news means good news. So we will post again tonight unless things change.

So glad to see that things are going well!! Yea! The PICU nurses told us that Bryson's age is really the toughest to comfort post op because they just don't understand what has happened and why mom & dad can't make it better! I pray he will be able to settle down and get some rest soon. Taryn was so mad she cried pretty much non stop for 19 hours post op! The silver lining was that she was so worn out that she slept the entire next day. I think it comes with the teritory when you have a heart kid who is a fighter, and we wouldn't want it any other way. :) Hang in there!
